hello again...margin debt should be released this week...but I m waiting to see how the January effect comes into play.My best, simplest decisions were just to be wary of a bad year ahead when the market was down in January.Saved tens of thousands in 2008 .Stocks seem to be giving a defensive signal this month---to be dismissed for 2014 strategy
ReplyDeletethat is NOT to be dismissed for 2014.The January effect is NOT to be dismissed.
ReplyDeleteYes not to be dismissed. Although I have been expecting a rather large correction in the last 3-4 months, nothing happened on the bear side. There are many alarming signals but complacency prevails. SPX and RUT have hit my uppermost targets now. Any strong up move from here would resemble 2000's euphoria. Debt levels should still be up this month because there is no sell off at all.
ReplyDeletemany people say it can t be a leading indicator anymore(why I don t know)....I think it can be until proven otherwise.Past bear markets were always preceded by a 1-3 month warning signal by margin debt contraction. We shall see.
